Favorite Sweatshirt

"This is a solid, well-made, and very warm insulated sweatshirt. It instantly became my daily wear in the wintertime. My wife likes the house a lot colder than I do and this keeps me nice and warm. The sweatshirt is very heavy - which is not a problem. Something this thick should have some heft. Zipper works well. My only issue might be pocket depth. They seem shallow, but I like the small inner pocket in the right-hand pocket for keeping chapstick."

Very Good But Different

"I'm comparing this to the similar Dickies sweatshirt I've been accustomed to wearing, that is no longer available. I think the build quality of the sweatshirt is better than the Dickies. The cuffs on the Dickies would always fray on me. That said, the cuffs on this Berne sweatshirt are quite snug. Not necessarily a bad thing. The hood on the Berne is "just enough" (good visibility?), but the hood on the Dickies was much more generous, like a monk's cowl, which I personally prereferred. I also likes the internal hood drawstrings (adjustable from inside the pockets). The cell phone pocket in the Berne right pocket is too narrow for my phone, but is fine for other kit. I'm 6'0 and 215 pounds. Mostly round in the middle, and this Berne sweatshirt is a comfortable and just generous fit. Happy with that. I ordered Tall XL and am happy with the fit. I have long arms. The sweatshirt covers 2/3 of my behind, and that's fine. Overall I'm pleased, and this one is a keeper. High quality. Nice and warm. Perfect is the enemy of good. This one's good. Go for it."
