Tough, soft and sizes

"I'm a convert! I've always enjoyed the duck denim jeans toughness, but now I'm a sucker for the Berne brushed feel. The Berne product looks to be well-made and thoughtfully reinforced. This is my first purchase, so I'll withhold judgment on longevity. The last, and definitely not the least item that I'm sold on, SIZES! Many of the manufacturers refuse to admit the there are folks with waist sizes larger than 50 inches. Berne has not, and has a wide range of clothing for the BIG crowd."

Work pants

"These pants are ok… when they are available. I do masonry work so they don't last too long. Also one of the belt loops is in the wrong location for a hammer holder. Maybe if the designer ever wore a hammer holder, he would know that. Also, the length is way too long. The length finally gets right about the time you wear-out the pants. Only in America!"

Not for small people

"I'm 5'2" and about 145lb in a size 30x30. I wasn't expecting them to be slim or anything but I didn't expect them to be as loose as they are. These fit more like a loose fit instead of a relaxed fit. Don't recommend for smaller people if you don't like loose fitting pants. Good quality though!"

"We purchased these pants for the first time about a year ago and they barely make it out of the laundry before being worn again… even in the summertime. They are sturdy and have held up well to multiple washings a week. My husband has lost a little bit of weight so he needed a smaller size (though he is still wearing the older ones). He used to only wear pants from llbean, but now he much prefers the Berne brand."
