"My job handed these out a few years back. Pretty stiff at first but it breaks in nicely. Very durable and real nice for spring and fall seasons"
"Very warm. Like it so far."
"Fits good feels good I like it a lot and would order it again"
"buy this vest for any one and they will love it. great job Berne 6 out of 5"
"bought this vest to pair up with my berne vintage washed duck bib overalls, worn with a flannel shirt/sweat shirt/heavy work shirt/or henley its perfect for working outdoors when a jacket or coat with sleeves would not be needed. the vest is comfortable and non-binding allowing for free movement with upper body and arms. its warm, even when the sun goes down the duck exterior and heavyweight interior insulation blocks out the wind and cold. quality zipper and plenty of pocket space for all your stuff. cant be beat for late fall yard work like raking up leaves and getting the outside of the house and property ready for winter. btw your vest has much more attention to detail and quality than your work clothing competitors. when it comes to workwear that is functional, durable, and priced right, its berne for me, and a loyal customer of your clothing i remain, keep up the good work while i get back to work."
"Went with Berne as it was a heavier duck cotton material than Dickies and less $$$ than Carhartt. I've worn the vest every Tu-Fri for about 2 months and am very satisfied with the purchase. I got a men's large (wanted the LT but out of stock) and am happy with how it fits my chest and torso length. I've worn it NOV-JAN over my HD sweatshirt and unless the wind is howling above normal here in southeast Idaho- I stay warm! Color and fit/finish of vest are holding up after biweekly washings. Very pleased!"
"This vest does an okay job at keeping out the cold and rain, but not the best. It also has had a few stitches tear in the pockets, though this was due to my 80 pound pit bull yanking on his leash really quickly, and the overstitched corner did hold, so good and bad there. It also lacks a wind stopper (the bit of fabric you see behind the zipper on a carhartt and the like) and they tried to compensate for this by having a tighter zipper, which works a bit, but also makes the slider weaker (I have already had to open it up after the slider tightened up and didn't work properly). The cut of the shoulders being square cut is also a bit of an issue, as air gets in the space between where your shoulder ends and the shoulder of the jacket begins, this is also a space where your heat escapes. Now to the positives, it is fairly comfortable to wear (though again, that shoulder cut being square is an issue). The pockets are quilt lined, and quite warm and roomy (having bought a Blue mountain jacket, this is more obvious than it was before). The neck on it lends itself both for a bit of warmth and a nice lining against the jacket you put on top of this. I have worn this vest in the mid to high 40s with no shirt underneath and as long as I was fairly active (walking) I was completely fine, and with a fleece shirt underneath I have been fine into the 30s. For a trucker vest or just going out in the 30s and 40s it is almost ideal."
"after a year of use very happy . I really like the lined pockets ."
"I'm a trucker and purchased one of these. Overall works well and is warm. But my old vest from another company held up better to snags. 2 weeks old and there's a hole in it from where it got snagged on a trailer."
