"The pants fit exactly is expected. I do believe the length is a little longer than traditional pants in that the designers anticipate them to be worn with boots. I wear them every day to work here in the desert and find them to be very comfortable in the heat. I have not worn them hiking or 4 wheeling yet. I expect the rip stop material to be very durable against needles, thorns and sharp rocks. I bought three pairs and would definitely purchase these again. I believe I got excellent value for the price paid and the quality delivered. I plan to shop Berne again."
