I bought the matching coat

"I bought the matching coat at meijer in lapeer Michigan and the coat is awesome, I love it. The hood is too small and not deep enough. The snaps don’t hold it on the coat and are constantly coming undone with little movement. People that but products like this need protection, it’s not for looks. I would’ve gladly paid more for a bigger, deeper hood that zips on. Love the coat, hate the dollar store hood."

There's not another workwear brand out ther for me

"I have several Berne clothing items. I prefer the Heartland product line, with all of them in bark brown. I have the sherpa lined vest. The hooded jacket. The Heartland overalls. And the arctic lined chore jacket, which I purchased this 3 piece HD101 snap hood for. Again, I love the bark brown color. The Heartland product line washed and sanded duck material is by far the best for fit and comfort. I quit wearing Carhartt a couple decades ago. The stiff materials offered no comfort, and the fit was also uncomfortable. It was then that I bought my first pair of Berne Overalls. And I've never had a reason to try another brand. These workwear clothes are like that best pair of comfortable work boots. Nothing beats that for me. And I wore out 3 pairs of those boots before I caught a 1 inch tear that my wife patched for me. I would still be wearing those old black overalls, but my son wears them now. Although they are a bit faded, he loves them. So much in fact that he bought a Berne winter hat. So now it's a generational thing. Back to the hood for the Ch377bb chore jacket. I found out the chore coat was a Heritage and not a Heartland as I originally thought. No matter, it matches the overalls perfectly. Berne is my brand. I have no complaints whatsoever. As for the guy that was gripping in his review here about having to purchase the hood separately. . . And says he'll never buy anything from Berne again. I think you're going to find out that carhartt sold a hood years ago. I have no idea now. I don't give Carhartt a second thought? But go ahead and spend your money for that clothe logo. I'm glad I found Berne years ago. Quality at an affordable price for the people who don't buy work clothing to keep up with the Smiths and Jones."

Perfect Hood!

"I bought this hood for the Berne Washed Chore Coat (CH377). It's a perfect fit. It has three metal snaps that align and snap onto the back of the coat's collar. The alignment is perfect. This hood is made from the same material as the coat. It's soft, cozy and warm. The draw-cord is made from thick, strong, quality cotton material. When the hood is cinched up it nicely covers the entire head and forehead and everything except for the eyes, nose and front of chin. Very comfortable to wear and blocks the wind. It can be unattached in an instant if you want to wear the coat without the hood. It's big enough the wear a knit cap underneath if you choose. Well worth the price for the warmth factor. Highly recommended."
