My last Berne Chore coat

"My last Berne Chore coat lasted a decade being worn to work in and honestly still is better in its current condition to this new version. Right away I see changes made that seem unexpectedly cheap. The tag to hang the coat has been moved inside and is now just a thin ribbon material rather than outside the collar and durable. The inner pockets have changed as well, with the zippered pocket now on the left and oddly shaped with the zipper running diagonal across the front top corner rather than just across the top, and my wallet no longer fits. the open-top pocket is on the right (which I've always used for my cellphone) and is uselessly awkward now since I'm not lefthanded. Both inner pockets seem too low also, rather than holding valuables on my brest, they fall to the sides of my gut. Overall, the same size coat seems a bit oversized, so maybe I should have ordered a size down, but being a big guy, my brain isn't geared that way. I bought the Tall version and probably didn't need to since it seems a few inches longer than my old Tall coat. The twill material is nice, and lighter weight, but also seems less durable, like a cheaper material and I haven't ruled out it may not have the same warmpth as my old Berne Chore Coat had. I'm almost afraid to find out. One more tiny detail I noticed, and it may be a small thing but it speaks volumes to where Berne has changed their trusted designs, the zipper pull is embossed "Talon" not "Berne". Seems like they went with a cheaper zipper, I guess carring enough to make your own quality zipper for your quality products isn't priority anymore? It's sad, honestly, I've loved my Berne workwear so long, but the only thing that I can say positive about it is at least it didn't break the bank. I'll probably end up giving this coat to my son. Fifty years ago my mom taught me if you can't say something nice not to say anything at all, but Berne asked me to do this review via email, so there you go."
