"For the colder days, 40F's and below in NC winters this jacket is excellent. Comfortable, warm, and well made. It's one of my favorites. In temps 50F and higher I actually get hot. Hood does a great job of keeping my head warm without obstructing my vision. The jacket is very roomy as well. I'm 6'2, 225lbs and ordered an XL Tall."

Heavyweight coat, but below 20 degrees sleeve warnth leaves a lot to be desired

"Second winter and this coat is nice to wear, but the sleeves are cold when temps dip below 20 degrees. The Sherpa chest area is warm, but still not what I would call a cold winter use coat. Outer material is definitly heavy duty but plyable and feels good. I really like the internal cuffs on the sleeves. The hood does keep the wind off and is warm at lower temperatures. The pockets are roomy and well done. Stitching seems straight and well done. The zipper works smoothly. The snaps are generally good, but the top one will not stay snapped no matter what I do-it just pops open. So for me this is a fall and spring coat that is nicely constructed and feels good. I also sprayed it with Scotchguard to make it somewhat water resistant and water intrusion hasn't been a problem,"
